WANDELEN
HIKING
There is certainly no shortage of hiking trails in Storfors and the surrounding area, in Storfors itself there are a number of long hiking trails (up to more than 30 km long) that can be done in different stages: Järnsjöleden, Rövarleden, Åsjöleden ... The hiking trails are well maintained and are always clearly marked (with orange markings on the trees). Decent walking shoes are strongly recommended, the walking paths are often uneven, you sometimes have to step over stones and tree roots, in addition, the walking paths are sometimes also strongly sloping and after a rain shower the path is slippery in many places. Binoculars are always handy to have with you, you often pass a beautiful lake and where there is water, you can usually spot many birds. With a bit of luck you will come across a squirrel, a deer, a fox, or even a moose on your path. This chance is more realistic in the early hours or at dusk. Don't forget to always take a raincoat with you, especially on a day trip, the weather can change surprisingly quickly. Stay on the marked route as much as possible, often the ground next to the walking path is very swampy, plus the moss and other ground covers look nicer if they are not trampled by everyone. And most importantly, don't leave any trash in the woods (mother nature says 'thank you').
